I caught part of Libbi talking on the ABC today promotiong A-Z of Mummy Manners and noted during her conversation that she had a child at 45. I’m 43 and thinking of going down that path. I have googled to all hours of the morning and cannot come up with a website/chat room/blog etc to talk with mum’s with young children who are parenting in their 40’s and then women in their 50’s with children who are still young that they had in their 40’s to get a real perspective of just what its like straight away and further down the track. Would love to see something on this. Maybe even a book idea….

With 3 boys aged 15 12 10 we adopted a little girl aged 13 months. I was 43. Now she is 19 and I am 61 and the boys 33 30 and 28. Different situation as i am also a grandma but feel like she has kept me young. As a secondary teacher and still working though had some big chunks not working full time. As am older teacher I feel very in touch with the youth of today.Going to buy libbys book for my daughter in law for mothers day. heard l Libby interviewed. Delightful.
